“MY AMERICA” – AN EXHIBITION AND “ORIANA AND AMERICA”- A DOCUMENTARY DEDICATED TO ORIANA FALLACI
At the presence of the Italian Minister of Culture, Francesco Rutelli, New York will inaugurate the initiatives dedicated to Oriana Fallaci with the exhibition “My America”, the première of the documentary “Oriana and America”, and an international conference, which will take place at the New York Public Library on June 29. “Oriana Fallaci and America” is one of the several foremost events promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture to celebrate the memory and promote the study of one of Italy’s most prominent journalists ever, Oriana Fallaci. New York was selected as the venue for the first of this series of events, scheduled for the emblematic date of June 29, Oriana Fallaci’s date of birth, because of the important role the city played in her life.

ORIANA FALLACI AND AMERICA: CONFERENCE “REMEMBERING ORIANA FALLACI”
At the presence of the Italian Minister of Culture, Francesco Rutelli, the city of New York will inaugurate the initiatives dedicated to Oriana Fallaci with the exhibition “My America”, the première of the documentary “Oriana and America”, and with the international conference “Ricordare Oriana Fallaci”. The conference will be held at the New York Public Library, with the participation of, among the others, Lucia Annunziata, Gianni Riotta, Antonio Caprarica, Carlo Rossella, Isabella Rossellini, Magdi Allam, and Christiane Amanpour. Alessandro Cannavò will moderate the works. The conference will also feature some videos, illustrating Oriana Fallaci’s work.
“Oriana Fallaci and America” is one of several events promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture to celebrate the memory and promote the study of one of Italy’s most prominent journalists ever, Oriana Fallaci. New York was selected as the venue for the first of this series of events, scheduled for the emblematic date of June 29, Oriana Fallaci’s birthday, because of the important role the city played in her life.
